De Anza Rape Update

in courts, rape and sexual assault, violence against women and girls

The California State Attorney General is going to review Dolores Carr’s decision to not file charges in the De Anza rape case.

Her office actually asked them to review the case in an attempt to clear their name of any wrongdoing. So we’ll see how it goes.

However, Attorney General Jerry Brown does have the authority to choose to file his own charges and prosecute the case, if he sees fit.

Here’s to hoping.

Here’s to hoping, indeed. This case has been so disturbing and upsetting- I hope that justice comes through.

(also: You’ll be happy to note that I have a blog I’m devoting to my musings on feminism. There’ll still be the intersection of pop-culture and feminism in there, but it’s all feminism, all the time, now.)
