I’ve heard this song dozens of times by now, and it still gives me chills.
I like the video and I have always enjoyed your posts. However, I take offence to the word ‘motherfucking.’ I think words like ‘motherfucking’ have deep misogynistic history. You do not hear words like ‘fatherfucking’ and so on…I do not think any words or statements which denote degradation of women should be used.
Interesting point. It’s one that I haven’t really considered before. It’s not a word that I use often, and when I do, it’s as an extra, angry emphasis on the word “fuck.” But I am one who believes that one’s intentions regarding language don’t excuse its derogatory usage. I’ll have to think about that one.
