So I was bumming around on the internet, when an ad that said “Live Offensively for God” caught my eye. Well, I had to find out what that was, and I surely wasn’t disappointed. Live Offensively for God is a website for brainwashed teenagers, trying to tell them that the current “great spiritual war” Christians are fighting right now is totally cool. And it offers merchandise such as this:

Wow. That’s deep.
Someone remind me that if I ever see someone walking down the street wearing this shirt, I really need to punch him or her in the face. ‘Cause, you know, I’m just “mean” and “selfish” like that.

“Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights, and nothing less.” — Susan B. Anthony

Just a quick reminded. Punch that sucker.
MAJeff left this comment on Pandagon:
“Male orgasms are the leading cause of abortion.”
Now THAT should be on a t-shirt.
Hahahaha- yeah, I saw that thread. And I would TOTALLY buy that shirt.
It’s like the wingnut version of all those “boys lie” t-shirts. I’ve always felt that cotton was an imperfect medium for touting your political leanings, personally, and this is an obvious example of that. If they think abortion is so horrible, why did they choose such a silly, upbeat font? That same font could just as easily spell out “Talk to the hand” or “New Kids On The Block.”
I found the following design on a t-shirt, and I have no idea what it’s supposed to mean:
ah, the picture didn’t work, blast it all. It was lame anyway. it said, “Abortion: it’s a lot like leaving your keys in your car.”
Yeah, I haven’t got the slightest clue what that means.
“Abortion: it’s a lot like leaving your keys in your car.”
It’s a silly, harmless oversight that we all make sometimes?
. . . You had to call a locksmith? Seriously, I’m lost.
… it’s a practical and efficient way of dealing with not wanting to be a parent that is constantly under attack by right-leaning wing-nuts who want to exert control over women’s bodies?
No. Wait. That doesn’t fit, does it?
Re: punching them in the face, you are just “living offensively” for reproductive rights! (And do you think they meant the double entendre of “offensively”, i.e., offensive v. defensive and offensive = rude, alienating, disgusting?)
Ugh. I hadn’t even considered that. But yes, I’m sure that they did.
I really like the font and style of that first shirt. It needs to be co-opted the opposite sentiment so I can wear it.
“Hating Women is Mean”? No, the fundies wouldn’t get it.
