You are right that the 6 million is not a lot of money to test on their side. But the FDA won't even allow medicinal herb companies say that their products actually cure something (like chamomile for cramps.. it really does too) because then it is considered a drug... I mean, seriously? Bill and Melinda Gates will fund other related projects to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, but they won't drop a pithy (to them) amount on these clinical trials?
