Three days of work this week, then another four day weekend, and then the 4th is my last day as a full-time employee. Headed back to teh college on the 15th (and terrified!).
As for your last question, sorta. I ended up $90 worth of gift certificates to Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I spent $30 on a tv series I’ve been wanting to see, but a good $45 went to books — Full Frontal Feminisim, the new Naomi Wolf (‘Letter to a Young Patriot’ or something like that), ‘Bill Bryson’s African Diary,’ and ‘Kingdom Coming’ (about how fundamentalist Christians are trying to take over America [and mostly succeeding, in my opinion...]).
Yayyy!
I am off until the 2nd and then it is back to work and regular blog posting.
I didn’t receive any cool feminist gifts this year! Maybe next year. We are still trying to get our family stop buying from companies who do not support fair labor practices. :)
