The worst was one I did to myself though. I dreamed that someone was trying to grab my daughter and I took a swing at them. I woke up when my fist went through the sheetrock – sprained my wrist.

What to see my husband turn gray and panicky? Remind him of the time he nearly “decked” me in his sleep. Apparently he was fighting a big one eyed ogre and rolled over and smacked me right in the eye. He was asleep at the time so there was no force behind it…sort of like a hand falling on you…but he woke up just as his fist was landing on my eye. Four years later he still is visibly shaken whenever I tease him about it.

I figure you sleep with someone for more than 5 years…someone is going to get hurt at least once. :)

Love means never having to say “You’d better put some ice on that eye.”

Well there was this time when I woke up and rolled over at the same time that my husband was waking up and starting to sit, and my elbow went right into his eye socket. That looked pretty painful, and after apologizing profusely I do believe I got him some ice.

But as a general rule, I think that the sentiment holds true ;)
