This alone captures what a moron he is. To him, men throwing money at women for their bodies = feminism. Someone needs to give him the memo about the Miss America protests, circa 1968.

I agree with this–women have plenty of other places to reflect cultural expectations more acurately than beauty pageants (i.e. Maxim’s hot 100)…not to mention that acceptable objectification has gotten more porn-y. With Maxim, Stuff, FHM, Playboy being normalized, who needs beauty pageants with their fake smiles and good posture and too much clothes, when you could have women barely dressed all passive and sultry and “fuck-me” like?

And to me, it’s not only about rewarding one woman for best exemplifying the patriarchal standard, but it’s also about authorizing and validating that standard, encapsulating it in one woman, and making it hypervisible.
