Election Night

in 2008 election, politics

I’ll be spending my evening live-blogging over at Feministe, getting drunk and watching election coverage on CNN — hopefully not all at the same time, but you never know!  Live-blogging starts at 6pm, so come on, check us out, and join in on the live chat.

How are you spending Election Night?

Well, Boyfriend is trying to convince me to go over to a friend’s house to watch the results come in. Problem is, that friend is uber-conservative. And while I think we could stay mostly civil, I honestly want an atmosphere of celebration (knock on wood) or commiseration (banish the thought!), not of politely biting our tongues.

Personally, I’m going to want to just hang out here at home where the booze is plentiful and the internet connection is steady so I can kick it with you guys on Feministe and Shakesville.

At home with roommate and friend, watching the polls, drinking coronas and eating tacos. :)

Homework! On technology and libraries! Did I mention that I don’t have a TV? Switching between online research and CNN for the results.

Game over, pop the champagne. Congressional races are all that are left to follow.
