Their name is Yellow Rage. They performed at the Campus Progress conference this summer, and are even cooler in person.
Unless you meant first names? Michelle and Catzie.
Ah, thank you Jill! I thought that was like the name of the tv show or segment when it popped up with that graphic!
That was badass — thanks, I needed some of that this morning.
Ha, after I watched this I heard a radio host say something about getting girls a play kitchen for Christmas and can’t train them too early and then really wanted to make a being a woman rant.
I can’t see anything there. :(
Wait, nevermind… I can see it now! Sorry.
They have a website:

Yeah when I saw this video I could not help but applaud, talk about truth telling. I learned a lot about some of the ideas that I have been walking around with as well.
After watching this video, I spent at least another hour watching “related videos” on youtube, all from Def Poetry.
What an amazing show. I definitely recommend checking out some of the other videos.
Really powerful spoken word from men and women alike. Some people I had heard of, some I’d love to hear more about now.
Their full names are Michelle Myers & Catzie Vilayphonh.
heard this for the first time a few months ago and now walk around everywhere going:
so you wanna learn how to say i love you and hello
why you need to know?
do you think i’m some kind of asian ho,
ready to turn around at your calls of
hey baby! ahnyounghasayo!
ahnyounghasayo!
Oh, yeah! Yellow Rage are great. I particularly like their I’m a Woman Not a Flava.
