Hmmm… I thought the point was the a transman (looking like the one in the ad campaign, more likely than a transwoman would) was now allowed *not* to use the same bathroom as the little girl if he chose?

Or am I missing something here…?

Yes, you're missing that the people who made this ad are trying to repeal that law. And that the ad says that the man going into the women's bathroom is now legal in big scary letters, not that it has created some sort of remedy to the situation.

Thanks for the linky love and bringing attention to this. I found this campaign to be so incredibly hateful and dishonest I could barely blog my outrage.

Or am I missing something here...?

(Oh, and speaking from a completely different perspective... since *when* has it been illegal to use the "wrong" gendered toilet? I can't count the number of times the womens toilets have been locked, being cleaned, or just plain busy with a line out the door and I've nipped into the blokes toilet next door... Always with a knock to make sure no one's using the urinals, and never with any of the blokes giving me any trouble over it at all...)
