If you send a news link, please sign the email with the name I can use as a credit, and include your personal URL if you have one.  As a general rule, all non-tip emails will be considered confidential.  However, if you send an email that is harassing, insulting, demeaning or otherwise pointlessly obnoxious, I reserve the right to publish it.

If you are sending me a press release or information about your new book/website/whatever, please let me know what you want. I often get these types of messages only to find them frustratingly vague, closing with phrases like “let me know what you think.” I don’t know what that means. Are you asking me to post on it? Do you actually want feedback? If I can’t tell, it goes in the trash 100% of the time. I definitely don’t promise action on every clear request, but making one at least gives you a shot.

I will consider review copies of books if they both interest me and share some sort of theme with the blog. I can, however, make no guarantee that an accepted review copy will be reviewed either in a timely fashion or at all.

I read virtually every email I get, but unfortunately don’t have the time to respond to each one. I’m usually busy and almost always easily distracted.  If I don’t get back to you, I assure you that it’s (most likely) nothing personal.
